Cardiac Support Group

Addresses the psychosocial and emotional issues of cardiovascular disease, as well as medication issues, stress management, and social and leisure pursuits. Meets for one hour on Wednesdays or Thursdays at 8:30 a.m.
Mended Hearts

A nationwide support organization affiliated with the American Heart Association. For individuals with heart disease, including those recovering from a heart attack or open-heart surgery. Members give hope and encouragement to others by providing living proof that patients with heart disease can lead full, productive lives. Call for information.
Dementia Caregiver Support Group
These monthly support groups are for the caregivers of older adults with memory loss. Designed to be both informational and supportive, these groups provide a confidential and welcoming atmosphere for family members who want to learn more about dementia. The emotional, medical, legal, and financial aspects of this condition are discussed at every meeting. Every second Thursday from 1:00 - 2:30 pm at the Second Ponce De Leon Baptist Church in Buckhead, 76 E Wesley Rd NE; and every fourth Monday from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at Wieuca Road Baptist Church near Phipps Plaza, 3626 Peachtree Rd NE.
