The following classes are available at the Piedmont Hospital Health and Fitness Club. Individual, couple, family and corporate memberships are available to the public.

Personal Fitness Profile 
A series of fitness evaluation tests, including a personal fitness report and exercise program recommendations. Medical clearance recommended. $50 for non-members.

Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program 
A land-based exercise program designed to help people with arthritis maintain and increase joint flexibility, expand range of motion, and improve muscle strength with a low-intensity cardiovascular strengthening component.

Water Aerobics 
An aerobic workout for strength gain, cardiovascular improvement and increased flexibility without stress on joints or muscles.

Aerobics 
Classes for all fitness levels, including low-impact, high-impact, step, body sculpting, spinning, abs and bottoms-up classes, pilates and kickboxing.

Aquatic Therapy

Regain strength and mobility with reduced stress on joints and muscles. Individualized programs for patients with back pain, fibromyalgia, neurological, orthopaedic and other generalized problems. Physician referral required. Call for more information.

Thera-band Exercise 
A strengthening class using resistance-training techniques for adults of all fitness levels. Twelve classes. $53 for non-members.

Tai Chi Chuan (Chinese Yoga) 
A slow and graceful ancient exercise that promotes relaxation, balance and inner calm. Beginner and advanced programs. Twelve weekly classes. $108 for members; $123 for non-members.

Hatha Yoga 
Stretching and breathing exercises to relax muscles and teach present-time awareness, allowing the body and mind to achieve higher levels of health and well-being. Twelve classes. $53 for non-members.

Power Yoga 
A fast-paced session focusing on strengthening and stretching techniques. $53 for non-members.

Beginner Yoga 
A beginning-level stretch and relaxation class using Hatha Yoga techniques.

Pilates A form of isometric exercise developed to strengthen the core muscles and stretch, tone and align the body.

Certified Personal Training Sessions

One-on-one or small-group instruction and motivation by an exercise specialist. Call for an appointment.

Fit for Life 
For adults of all ages who want to maintain or improve endurance, strength and flexibility. Classes are taught on land and in water. $53 for non-members.

Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program 
Designed to help maintain joint movement, relieve stiffness and muscle pain, and restore flexibility. Arthritis Foundation-approved. Medical clearance required.

Adult Conditioning 
For older adults. Emphasizes cardiovascular and weight-training exercises. Designed to reduce claudication pain (cramping and weakness) through cardiovascular exercise on land and in water. Medical clearance required.

Massage Therapy

Release energy, reduce stress and relieve muscular fatigue, soreness and tension. Fifteen- to 90-minute sessions by licensed therapists. Call for an appointment.

Martial Arts Workshop
