Care for a Lifetime

Women's Services at Piedmont Hospital is devoted to meeting the changing healthcare needs of women at all stages of life. We combine the most advanced technology and specialized medicine with a patient-centered, family-oriented, multidisciplinary approach to ensure that every woman receives the best-possible care throughout her entire life-span.

Piedmont's expertise in women's healthcare began in the early 1900s when Annie Sawyer, M.D., one of the South's first female physicians (and probably Atlanta's first trained obstetrician), joined the medical staff. Since then, we've brought more than 100,000 babies into the world and expanded our services to include full-spectrum obstetric and gynecologic care—always delivered with compassion and a dedication to excellence.

Women's services at Piedmont include:

  • Gynecologic surgery (both traditional surgery and minimally invasive procedures)
  • Reproductive endocrinology
  • Breast health
  • Heart health
  • Bone densitometry (bone-density screening)
  • Nutrition and weight-management counseling
  • Women's fitness
  • Community outreach

Our Mission:

To provide comprehensive, quality care to our patients, their families and the community, in collaboration with our healthcare providers and delivered by a professional, compassionate staff in a not-for-profit method.

Our Vision:

To position the Women's Health Center at Piedmont Hospital as a recognized leader in Women's Health throughout the Atlanta region through:

  • Excellence in clinical care
