Piedmont's expertise in women's healthcare began in the early 1900s when Annie Sawyer, M.D., one of the South's first female physicians (and probably Atlanta's first trained obstetrician), joined the medical staff. Since then, we've brought more than 100,000 babies into the world and expanded our services to include full-spectrum obstetric and gynecologic care—always delivered with compassion and a dedication to excellence.
