As one of the busiest and most comprehensive facilities for cancer services in the Southeast, Piedmont offers a full array of both conventional and intensity-modulated therapy. In 2004, more than 700 patients were treated at our radiology oncology department. 

Our innovative 10-slice CT scanner provides clearer images at a faster rate. With this scanner, the physician can conduct such advanced noninvasive tests as cardiac scoring and cardiac angiography.

The MRI scanner, which offers a larger internal bore than conventional scanners, has a full-strength 1.5 tesla magnet. The larger bore allows claustrophobic patients to feel more comfortable during the test, without giving up the full strength magnet.
